Everybody Can Change (or the Start of My One Year Car Moratorium)

On April 17, 2007, following the death of our car (which proudly got 46 MPG, by the way) my girlfriend and I are starting a one year moratorium on car ownership. We'll struggle with the joys and challenges of walking, biking, or taking (gasp!!!) mass transportation to the places we want to go. Luckily work is within walking distance for both of us. A weekly farmer's market is two blocks from our house. The supermarkets located at the far edges of town will provide the biggest regular challenge; our infrequent excursions to the Big Stink (aka Toronto) for concerts or visits home to the Ottawa Valley the only other obstacle.
